About This Project
Tim and Dan started Mobilemurf in 2011 after a lot of brainstorming. We were tired of managing so many different social networking sites, not to mention all of the email accounts that we had collected!
The more we started talking, the bigger we realized the problem really was. In addition to the previous frustrations, we were juggling personal contact lists on Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and Microsoft Outlook, not to mention from different devices (cell phones and computers, both work and personal). We always find cool web sites, but whenever we want to go to it, we’re not near the computer that we stored it as a favorite! There is so much information to manage on the internet, and we shouldn’t have to juggle so many web sites to keep track of it all.
Out of this frustration, the idea for MobileMurf.com was born. A centralized web site and cell phone application that merges email accounts; social media updates; internet bookmarks, blogs; news articles, contact lists (and more) into one simple, cohesive list: Accessible anytime, anywhere. Our philosophy is this tool should be free and publicly available...something that everyone will want to use.
We’ve spent the past summer, fall and winter pouring our own money into hiring programmers, who have built an initial prototype that merges email accounts together, along with social media postings. But without more money, they can’t finish the web site design, database development, or make a cell phone application.
At this time we stand at a cross road, and need your help to raise the funding needed for the rest of this web site. With your donations, we will be able to meet our goal of finishing this free product, making it available to everyone on the internet.
We need your help making a product that offers a truly useful way to manage the "mess" of information, and reinventing how it’s accessed. With your support, MobileMurf.com will become an internet sensation!
